Ahh, we love a good old, manly sport.

Rugby Union season kicked off again in September, and our #InspiretoAspire guys Tom Chapman and Grant Pointer have been giving it their all alongside their respective clubs in a bid to pull off something extra-special as the season gets under way.

Grant, who is half-way through a two-year contract with Jersey Rugby Club, has high hopes for this season after a disappointing result at the end of the last one. The club have recruited strongly this time around, and are aiming to finish at least mid-table. Six games in, they are currently sitting pretty in sixth place on the table with fifteen points to their name, and are now gearing up for their next game against London Scottish. The match is due to take place this Friday at Richmond Athletic Ground in London, and we’ll be cheering them on from afar.

Meanwhile, Worcester are riding high near the top of the table in second position, having won an impressive five out of the first six games of the season. Frustratingly for Tom, he was recently injured while scoring a try for the team, and has been working hard to rehabilitate and get back to his best ever since. Worcester are set to face Plymouth Albion this Saturday, and will be playing on The Bluebeards Revenge’s own home soil, at Brickfields in Plymouth.

It’s early days for both Tom and Grant, with over five months to go until the season draws to a close in April. As ever, we’ll be behind them all the way – watch this space for further updates and info on how they are getting on as the season progresses.
