It’s Wednesday, and these days at Bluebeards HQ, this can mean only one thing: It’s time to introduce you to another one of our Inspire to Aspire stars, and this week it’s the turn of talented Leigh Centurions rugby player Ryan Brierley.

Ryan Brierley

Ryan Brierley

Skilled at the manliest of sports, Ryan is a talented half back who came through the Castleford Academy before signing for Leigh in 2012. He has made a number of notable appearances for the club this season and is known for his impressive footwork.

A skillful goal kicker, Ryan was the subject of interest from Salford earlier in the season, an opportunity he turned down to help ensure that Leigh secure promotion. Loyalty, if ever we heard it.

His impressive performances have made him something of a crowd favourite at Leigh, and he is currently the leading try-scorer for the 2013/14 season.

Definitely one to watch.

We sat Ryan down and grilled him on life as a rising sports star, and here’s what he had to say on the matter.
